Due to continual growth and expansion my client has an excellent opportunity on a full-time permanent basis for experienced Marine Engineers based at their facility in Fife. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience of specialisin in repairs and maintenance of ship's propulsion systems, which includes controllable pitch propellers, shaft seals, gearboxes and steering gear.

Key responsibilities include-

• Hands on experience in the repair and maintenance of ships propulsion systems, which include controllable pitch propellers, seals and gearboxes


• Diagnosing mechanical/electrical problems with customers equipment


• Be able to lead a team without direct supervision and within pre-set timescale


• Giving detailed technical reports on work carried out with recommendations for further work necessary to restore equipment to optimum operating efficiency

You must be confident with a positive can do attitude and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. Successful candidates must posses a full UK driving license with their own transport and be prepared for a considerable amount of travel throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide at short notice for periods of time.
