The Role:


An excellent opportunity has arisen with my client for an experience Engineering Improvement Manager from a bottling background to join the team. It will involve the running of improvement projects with fast paced production equipment. Due to the nature of the business, candidates must possess experience from a bottling or very similar background to be considered for this role.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities



  • Work with Manufacturing management teams to ensure that identified reliability improvement projects are correctly specified, planned, documented, resourced and executed within agreed timescales

  • Identify and initiate engineering improvements and manage and participate as appropriate in improvement group activity

  • Manage capital projects from the equipment specification stage through to completion including budget responsibility and the management of OEMs and other internal or external engineering resource

  • Manage and/or participate in value engineering, material change and new product development projects

  • Maintain close links with OEMs, material suppliers and other food and drink manufacturers to ensure personal knowledge of machine/material/process innovation and development is maintained

  • Provide input into the development of site Asset Care Systems to maximise equipment reliability, asset life and legal compliance



The Candidate:



  • Will be Degree or HNC qualified in a recognised trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or have equivalent work experience

  • Should have detailed engineering knowledge of all aspects of equipment utilised in a bottling plant including bottle blowing, filling, packing and palletisation

  • Will hold possess project management experience including budget management
