9 Month Contract


Based: Glenrothes


Salary: Up to £19,000 Per Annum



My Client


My client is a global manufacturing organisation that continues to experience success and growth. They have an immediate requirement for an experienced Sales Administrator to join them on a 9 month contract to cover maternity leave.



The Role


This is a busy and demanding role where you will be the interface for customers acting as the voice of the customer to ensure priorities are understood and delivered upon and orders are processed accurately.




  • Process and edit customer orders, acknowledging orders within agreed timescales

  • Operate as a front line telephone support to both internal and external customers

  • Monitor customer orders on a daily, weekly, monthly basis

  • Assist and contribute to monthly invoicing and the forecast target

  • Resolve customer credit queries, arrange returns, process credits

  • Advise sales managers of order patterns, progress and credit hold

  • Maintain customer database

  • Regular contact with field staff to assist and ensure customer requirements are met

  • Monitor customer account and payment terms

  • Contact customers frequently offering help and support

  • Action quotations in a timely manner

  • Advise customers on price, delivery and product related queries

  • Provide Management Information where requested

  • Build relationships with customers



To be considered for this position you must have the following background and skills:




  • Previous experience within a similar sales administration role processing sales orders from start to end.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • The ability to Influence and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.

  • High level of IT skills in the Microsoft packages such as Excel, Outlook and Word and experience of an ERP system would also be advantageous.

  • Excellent prioritisation skills and problem solving skills.
