The Role:

Due to the business enjoying strong development an opportunity has arisen for a Proposals/Tendering Engineer to join the team on a 3 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with P & IDs to, if necessary, to extract appropriate data to develop technical information for bidding purposes.


• Ensure that all tenders are submitted in accordance with company commercial, quality and financial procedures and to suit customer requirements.


• Study the enquiry, establish the scope of intent and the commercial requirements e.g. letter of credit, cash with order etc.


• Calculate the costs of components and services by reference to drawings (and site reports for overhauls), estimate overhaul times and equipment requirements.


• Apply Material, Labour & Overhead (MLO) and profit margins to spreadsheets for sales price development.


• Freedom to offer alternative technical solutions will be encouraged.


• Attend site to extract information from site "walk downs", Engineers and Databases


• Assist with the development of MS project plans using time & cost estimates.


• Liaise with the customer.


• Liaise with the other parties to provide technical and commercial expertise to ensure that the correct items and services are provided.


• Liaise with sub-contractors to obtain the best value offers that are consistent with clients' requirements.


• Prepare and develop with the Projects Team the Commercial & Technical proposal.

The Candidate:

• Should have an engineering bias with an HNC/HND or Engineering Degree or equivalent work experience


• Good at communicating and able to create good relationships with team members and customers


• Good knowledge of all MS products
