We are currently looking for an experienced Controls Design Engineer who will be responsible for the world-wide supply of Intervention and Workover Control Systems

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of quotations


• Review customer specifications, documents and drawings


• Ensure all necessary preliminary system analyses are performed for the technical proposal


• Respond to any technical clarifications and attend clarification meetings where necessary


• Technical review and selection of vendors, and liaising with vendors to ensure they are aware of any technical changes


• Write and interpret functional design specs, hydro/electric control system designs ensuring compliance by carrying out appropriate calculations


• Plan, organise, control and implement projects, to produce results within time, cost and quality.


• Act as technical lead if necessary


• Liaise with vendors to ensure the supply of equipment, and act as technical focal point with vendors


• Support the Project Manager during execution phase, including assisting with and generating progress reports


• Continually monitor the project plan, identify critical items and activities impacting on the project schedule


• Provide technical support to the Field Service group during the onshore integration and the offshore installation and commissioning processes


• Modify existing control systems and associated documents to meet changing requirements as necessary


• Interface management both internal and external


• Working With Specialist Engineers Typically Reliability, Hydraulic and Electrical Analysis To Support Solution Delivery

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BSc/BEng degree qualification in Electrical or Mechanical discipline along with 2 years relevant product experience, or HNC qualification along with a minimum of 5 years relevant product experience


• Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematic interpretation


• W rite testing procedures for hydro-electric control systems


• Ability to clearly explain, present and reason technical solutions and offerings


• Attend design reviews and act as lead engineer


• Experience in providing technical and commercial support to bids and quotations


• Design, build, manufacture or operational knowledge of main IWOCS
