Our client are a globally recognised designer, manufacturer, and supplier of communications equipment. They are well respected within the industry and due to continued growth and exceptional customer demand an exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.
Key responsibilities include:

• Project management (scheduled tooling, dealing with vendors etc);


• Participate in a variety of design projects (analysis, modification, new design, testing);


• Design and development of new and existing components;


• Support designs through the entire product life cycle;


• Structural FE analysis;


• Development and execution of a variety of product testing and NPI planning;


• Work proactively on driving projects and new product development.

The Candidate will:

• ideally be educated to HNC level in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with strong design knowledge;


• be experienced in Solidworks package and knowledge of production techniques;


• possess experience of pressed and stamped components;


• familiar with castings and die castings;


• be experience in medium/high volume manufacturing;


• structural FE analysis (Ideally Ansys).
