We are currently looking for an experienced Draughtsman to work alongside Senior CAD Designer and Design Engineer for a large Engineering Project

Responsibilities

• To create Solid Models and 2D drawings, to agreed timescales, for the following as required by a project:-Create Conceptual Design Layouts from inception of design (from freehand sketch/verbal instruction, marked up layouts), for Quotes, Concept, Research & Development, and System Engineering Phase of project, including Solid Model / 2D drawing for Tolerance


• Produce Manufacturing Component Solid Model then 2D Drawing and process information through to review stage, to agreed timescales, enabling drawing package to be released for manufacture, inspection, assembly, and test.


• Full understand electronic data management system to be able to generate Engineering Change Notices (ECN's), Database Information Sheets (DBI's) and Quality Notifications (QN's)


• Learn product line to be able to innovate through incremental design improvements


• Adapt to procedural, cultural and structural changes to facilitate and support continuous improvement


• Communication with relevant cross functional group during tasks and participate in cross functional teams

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering Design or equivalent. Experience in a Design environment using 3D design applications to create layouts, tolerance stack-ups, P&I D's and manufacturing information from detail drawings to full assembly drawings


• HNC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.


• Have the ability to adapt to CAD and Information Technology software applications. Participate and contribute to a team working environment. Show a willingness to cross functional training
