Part Time Materials Handler (19.5 hours per week)
Based: Livingston
Salary: £8 per hour
My client
My client is a Global leader in the Manufacturing and Technology Industry.
The role
Working within my clients Logistics Department, who are responsible for supporting their Sales Distributors across the UK in having the correct tools to be able to deliver training sessions to potential clients and have presence at over 500 exhibitions per year.
Responsibilities include:
•Supporting 75 UK Sales Distributors
•Ensuring devices are delivered to locations across the UK in adequate time
•Tracking all delivery paperwork
•Arranging pick up of all devices after exhibitions and training days
•Dealing with highly valuable devices
•Lifting heavy devices (up to 40 kilos)
•Liaising with couriers
•Confirming receipts of devices back into the department and completing relevant paperwork
•Cleaning devices with high-tech machinery
•Controlling all stock and completing stock checks
•General administration duties
Candidate:
•Must have excellent attention to detail as many of the devices are very similar
•This position has a manual element to it, therefore candidates should be willing to work in a warehouse environment and prepared to do heaving lifting on a daily basis.
•Must be available for work Monday - Thursday: 1pm - 5pm & Friday 1pm - 4.30pm
•You will also be required to work on a rota basis on a Saturday morning when required
•Flexibility will be required to cover busy periods
•You must be comfortable in working in an extremely busy environment and be able to use your own initiative and plan in advance
•Must be comfortable in using the PC and with Microsoft Word and Excel

Test Manager
My client is looking for an experienced Electrical / Electro-mechanical Engineering Manager to lead their new product development test team. The team is responsible for building and testing prototypes and new developments for their industry leading products.
The Role
• Agree the development build and test schedule from the requirements of the product development plan, technical investigations and regulatory testing.
• Plan and procure the necessary resources, test equipment and instrumentation as required to meet this schedule, reporting progress at regular intervals.
• Establish and maintain detailed test procedures and methods for reliable repeatable test activity.
• Establish robust processes and standards for clear and professional reporting of test results and maintain auditable records of all development test activities and results.
• Manage the Development build and test team, developing, motivating and driving performance by implementing appropriate management and communication systems and processes, and sharing information, ideas and good practice.
• Technical leadership of all specialist test processes required to support the product program and any associated legislative obligations required.
• Provide support for technical investigations in areas such as research, fault diagnosis and prevention including field warranty or performance issues.
• Provide customer and production support.
The successful candidate will have:
• A degree in Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent engineering related discipline.
• Good knowledge of testing of engineering equipment and the relevant HSE codes
• Advanced technical problem solving expertise in electrical and mechanical systems with experience of testing and maintenance of power generators desirable.
• Team leadership experience with the ability to plan and manage the various resources supporting development test and drive for continuous improvement.
• Target and safety focused, able to cope with demanding and changing product development schedules and ready to travel and work out-with normal hours when the job requires.
• Innovative thinking and encourages this in others. Develops new pathways to achieving objectives and will have served a recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline.

The Role:
This fantastic organisation now has an excellent opportunity for a Production Engineer to be based on their site in Ayrshire.
With a real focus on Product and Process, the Production Engineer will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing build processes and will work with the Quality Engineering team to drive improvements in yield, scrap and product quality. Additionally, he/she will manage the engineering change process across all manufacturing activities.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in a Manufacturing Engineering discipline with Production experience within a ‘heavy engineering’ environment such as Aerospace or Automotive. A proactive attitude is critical to drive the necessary changes, as is experience of using tools such as FMEA and SPC. A working knowledge of design tools such as Solidworks, Solid Edge etc.
