The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to provide business & financial support to my client, based at their site in Livingston.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role holder will be responsible for helping to deliver the financial targets of this organisation.
Responsibilities will include:
Support the collation and interpretation of Monthly Management accounts including variance analysis.
Preparation of Standard Costing and Business Plans.
Preparation and interpretation of spending analysis.
Provide monthly cost reduction analysis.
Ensure Operations Finance is Sarbanes Oxley Compliant.
Provide information to facilitate management decision making.
Preparation for audits
Provide general support to Finance Manager and Controller
To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills:
Part-qualified accountant (either through experience or professional exams) with strong academic record
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley compliance and controls
You will have advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
Experience of using SAP &/or JD Edwards would be beneficial
Experience of working within a similar financial position in an International manufacturing organisation would be highly advantageous
Well developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with people at all management levels
Ability to adapt in a changing environment
Ability to work with minimal Supervision
Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
Experience in a commercial environment
Strong team player who is motivated by team success
Flexible approach depending on business demands

My client is an entrepreneurial business that continues to experience revenue growth. Operating across a range of market sectors they are perhaps best recognised in the retail and hospitality markets. They are currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant as an additional resource for the Finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and managing an Accounts Assistant, this is an important role and will be responsible for reporting on a specific area of the business. The main duties will include:
- Production of detailed management accounts on a monthly basis
- Preparing revenue and cash flow forecasts
- Analysis of actual performance against budget
- Preparing Profit and loss Reports and Balance Sheets
- Preparation of accruals and prepayments
- Reconciling control accounts and Bank reconciliations
- Reconciling daily cash and banking transactions
- Accounting for Inter-company transactions and transfers
- Suggesting changes to systems and processes as appropriate
- Other ad-hoc duties as advised by the Finance Manager

My client, a well known and well respected Manufacturing organisation based in West Lothian are looking to recruit an experienced Office Manager to join their team.
This role will initially be for 3 months with the view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
This is a essential role to the business and will report into the Financial Controller.
Some of the key tasks include:
* Dealing with credit card queries (Requesting credit limit increases, reconciling at month end)
* Dealing with Expense queries and reconciling at month end.
* Updating the Payroll spreadsheet with new starts, leavers, salary increases etc...
* Dealing with Insurance claims for the Company vans & cars (ensuring claims are being processed, issuing paperwork)
* Administering the Company Pension Scheme.
Key skills:
* Excellent overall administration experience.
* Good IT Skills - Proficient in using Word, Excel and Access would be an advantage.
* Excellent time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
* The ability to work to tight timescales and varying deadlines.
* Good relationship management skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff throughout the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys dealing with queries and trouble-shooting, although this role is an Office Manager, you will not manage staff.

Our client, a FSTE 100 company are looking for an experienced Business Continuity Coordinator to join their Scottish Financial Services team.
This role will involve 50% travelling between their Scottish Life and Pensions sites, with the other 50% based at home, although there has to be a degree of flexibility depending on business demands.
Key accountabilities of the role are;
Assisting all Business Areas in maintaining Business Continuity plans with agreed framework
Collating and maintain Business Impact data on a regular basis
Supporting the Crisis Team as required during and post any incidents
Extracting information from the BI data and suggest recommendations for improvement to planning
Communicating with IT regarding change , ensuring Business Continuity requirements are captured
Making appropriate recommendations and agree actions following any exercise to improve future planning and awareness
Participating in post disaster reviews to assist with plan improvements

Key attributes of the candidate
Minimum 4 years experience within a Business Continuity role or Business Continuity qualifications
